Joy Kolitsky uses watercolor and lyrical ink drawings to convey the playful and whimsical worlds of her imagination. Through her use of quirky and unique characters she explores her passion for animal protagonists, fairy tales, and nature. Joy has been honing her story telling skills for many years having worked as an animation storyboard artist and character designer since 1996 at studios like Hanna Barbera, Augenblick Studios, MTV Animation, and Sony Pictures Animation. Her illustrations have been seen in Cricket Magazine and The New York Times Book Review. She lives at the Jersey shore with her family.
